Wyoming Photographer Earns Photographic Craftsman Degree

Jeahn Laffitte of Luma University recognized for helping to advance the photography industry

Wheatland, WY May 1, 2026—Jeahn Laffitte of Luma University in Wyoming has earned the Photographic Craftsman degree from Professional Photographers of America (PPA). The degree will be presented to Laffitte by PPA president Makayla Jade Harris, Cr.Photog., CPP at the association’s annual convention, Imaging USA, to be held in Charlotte, NC, in February 2027.

The Photographic Craftsman degree is an achievement of the highest caliber. It means that Laffitte has met the standards of excellence set by PPA. He has been awarded the Photographic Craftsman degree in recognition of his service to the photographic profession as an orator, author, and mentor.

Laffitte’s degree—and all the expertise it requires—illustrates his accomplishments and talent as one of a select few.

Jeahn Laffitte is a photographer, educator, and entrepreneur born and raised in Wheatland, Wyoming. He is the owner of Jeahn Laffitte Photography and Luma University, where he helps photographers grow their skills and businesses through practical, hands-on education.

Jeahn currently serves as Secretary of the Wyoming Professional Photographers Association and was selected to speak at Imaging USA 2027, the nation's largest photography conference. His passion for photography, lighting, the arts, and professional development is reflected in both his work and his ongoing commitment to strengthening the creative community.
